Mezcal is a Mexican distilled alcoholic beverage surrounded by rich history, culture and mysticism. It was considered a divine gift and it is currently part of the Mexico’s cultural heritage.
We created Ancestro’s brand identity, looking to portray the ancestral legacy of mezcal. Six rabbit heads become a symbol which represent the legend of the 400 rabbits or "Centzon Totochtin", that is often associated with this drink.
The packaging is simple; a timeless design with a strong personality and a well-defined structure, printed in a single ink on natural paper. “Ancestro” is pure and clean and it is far from the pretentiousness that currently surrounds the mezcal market.
